Brief Description and Function	SD&SWM Sector stands for Sewerage, Drainage and Solid Waste Management Sector. This Sector mainly looks after different Storm Water Drainage schemes within KMA, as well as Non-KMA i.e. throughout West Bengal. This Sector is also looking after the Solid Waste Management schemes within Kolkata Metropolitan Area. At present, this sector has been assigned with the works of bioremediation and biomining of Legacy Wastes in a scientific manner in different dumpsites throughout the state of West Bengal.
